Unilateral condylar hyperplasia of the mandible is relatively rare. Condylar hyperplasia (CH) is classified into two types, active and inactive CH, using histopathological criteria. Treatment plans should be drawn up according to the type of CH present. In cases involving high CH activity, high condylectomy is recommended. In addition, the extent of the expected deformity should be considered in order to improve facial symmetry and occlusion. Thus, simultaneous orthognathic surgery is also necessary in such cases.
