Present Status of Early Diagnosis of Digestive Cancer

Regards to Japanese mortality of the cancer developed in all organs, cancer of the degestive organs has occupied over 50% of all of the death due to malignancy. In this editorial article, I refered to the recent progress of diagnostic methods for early diagnosis of digestive cancer. The advance of gastroenteroenterological endoscopy has made possible diagnose minute cancer developed in the gastrointestinal tract.
