This paper reports a clinical and histological study on the relationship between various gastric lesions, particularly peptic ulcer and atrophic changes in the gastric mucosa, and general arteriosclerosis, particularly arteriosclerosis of the gastric wall. Materials were total 93 cases more than 60 years of age. Sevently cases in these specimens were resected from operated stomachs as gastric ulcer, duofenal ulcer or early cancer, and 23 cases from lesion-free stomachs including 20 autopsied cases.
