The diagnostic significance of clinical finding, such as physical examination hormonal evaluation, X-ray examination and scintigraphy, was studied in fifteen cases of the adenocarcinoma of the thyroid gland. In all cases, the final diagnosis was established by histological examination. Of these examinations, X-ray findings of the thyroid nodules were most useful. Tracheal deviation to the contra-lateral side of the thyroid nodule (11/15 cases) and psammoma bodies (10/15 cases) were frequently noted.
