Cell kinetics of mouse L_5 cells was studied using ^<3>H-thymidine (^<3>H-TdR) autoradiography. In contrast to the conventional method of cell cycle analysis, T_G1+1/2M and Ts were estimated independently from labeling index curve after mitotic selection and after release from double thymidine block, respectively. T_G2+1/2M was obtained by the method analogous to the fraction of labeled mitoses (FLM). The results can be summerized that T_G2+1/2M=7, Ts=8.5, T_G2+1/2M=7hr. Growth fraction (GF) was 85%. This method seems advantageous over the FLM or double labeling method in which the data are illresolved due to cumulative variation of several consecutive phases.
