The relationship between inhibition of amyloid deposits and doses of colchicine on inducing muring amyloidosis was investigated. ICR mice were subcutaneously administered with colchicine 0.02 mg per mouse, 0.0125 mg per mouse, 0.08 mg per mouse, 0.04 mg per mouse for week, respectively. Then, the animals were received a single intraperitoneal injection of a mixture of complete Freund's adjuvant and Mycobacterium butyricum followed by continuous administration of each dose for 10 days.
