We presented a clinico-statistical picture of epileptic patients who were experienced at the Department of Neuropsychiatry of the Yamaguchi University School of Medicine during the year 1977. Of the 1165 patients who were examined in this department, 214 (18.4%) were diagnosed as epileptic. The age distribution of patients was as follows : 9 patients were under 10 years of age, 59 were 11-20 years old, 105 were 21-40 years old, 38 were 41-60 years old and 3 patients were over 61 years of age.
