To analyze thr right atrial (RA) function in patients (PTS) with heart disease, both atrial echograms with an esophageal echocardiography and RA pressure by a catheter-tip manometer were recorded sim-ultaneouesly in 20 pts in regular sinus rhythm (control 5, constrictive pericarditis (CPC) 2, congestive 6).
