Cell kinrtic analysis of tumors is performed fully in rxperomental animals for study of tumor grouwth and development of effective trerapy. However, it is difficult for human tumors to be done by the same methods as in the animals ones due to ethical reasons. In vitro ^<3>H-thymidine labeling method was introduced and improved and data on cell kinetics of human cancers have been accumulated. Fundamentally, there are two kinds of methods for in vitro labeling, i. e., techniques using cell suspension and tissue fragment. This paper briefly describes simple and safe technique for cell kinetic analysis of human cancers in in vitro which was developed by us and reviews other published methods.
