In the present study, the possiblility of mass screening of liver diseases and simple and rapid methods for the screening was studied. Discriminant and quantification analyses of liver disease were made using data from 12 blood chemical examinations which were measured routinely. It was found that 87% of patients with liver diseases was distingushed correctly by the discriminant analysis. In quantification analysis, 97.6% of healthy subjects was distinguished from the patients with liver disease and 95.5% of patients with liver diseases was diagnosed correctly. It suggests that the quantification analysis of blood chemical data is useful for mass screening of the liver disease.
