CT-controlled aspiration for hypertensive intracerebral hematoma using a Stereotactic Aqua-Stream and Aspirator (SASA) has been performed at our hospital. Also, an electronic endoscope (FVS-1000) for visual inspection through a three-lumen catheter has been used. Now the author devised a new instrument (SASA-E) containing an electronic endoscope. Using this instrument, experimental hematomas in test tubes were evacuated very smoothly and this could be controlled by the aspiration force and the pressure of the irrigation water. At a suction force of 200mmHg and an irrigation water pressure of 16kg/cm^2, the hematoma was evacuated at a rate of 14.0ml/min. Furthermore, using a Nexus 6400 color of the brain, artery, and vein were analyzed. Its visual angle was 45.8 degrees and it was possible to survey the hematoma cavity. Color analysis of artery and vein in dogs revealed different patterns of intensity in terms of red(R) and blue(B). Parameter IR/IB enabled us to discriminate color between the artery and the vein.
