Over a three-year period (1981-83), I examined the pulmonary function on the total number of 3,035 schoolchildren (4th to 6th grader) in two elementary schools in Ube City, and at the same time L held their physical checkups. On the basis of the data from 2,966 children (1,496 boys and 1,470 girls) excluding the abnormal ones, I prepared some predicted equatinors for the normal values of pulmonary function parameter. The results obtained are as follows. 1. FVC, FEV_<1.0>, V^^・_<75>, V^^・_<50> and V^^・_<25> in both sexes showed a significant and positive correlation respectively with the age, height , the square of height, weight and body surface area of the children. Especially with their height and the square of height, did they show higher correlation, and the ratio of risk was only 0.1%. 2. In the mean pattern of Flow-Volume Curve, there was clear difference between both sexes
