Since the genesis of tuberculosis of the abdominal wall is still unknown, several etiologic factors have been considerd. We have had the opportuity to study the case of tuberculosis of the abdominal wall. A 57-year-old woman, who suffered from tuberculos perotpnities 20 years ago, showed a painless mass in the right upper quadrant of her abdomen. The mass was fist-sized and of smooth surface. A. plain roentgenogram of the abdomen revealed many calcifications in the abdominal cavity. Clinical examination of the gastrointestinal tract revealed no abnormal finding. She was operated upon and the tumor was diagnosed as tuberculosis of the abdominal wall histologically and by the culture of pus. This paper was briefly discussed the genesis and the etiology of tuberculos of the abdominal wall.
