Online education during the coronavirus pandemic : cases of China and Japan

Online education has strongly developed during the COVID-19 pandemic. While public schools in Japan were off to a slow start, China became a pioneer in online education under the policy of "classes stop but learning continues." On the other hand, this drastic educational reform was painful, although the situation was better than in Japan. In this paper, we present both relevant literature and local examples in order to consider from various perspectives.

Experiences of Chinese international students during COVID-19 in Japan

For Chinese people, study abroad is an important matter. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many countries implemented travel regulation policies. Except for the early part of 2020, however, long term residents, including international students, were allowed to enter Japan. Despite the COVID pandemic, some of the degree program students entered Japan from abroad. In addition, as soon as the international travel regulations ended, a huge number of non-degree students including kenkyusei（ research students） and language program students rushed to Japan.

本稿は、低学年「生活」教科書をもとに、台湾における環境教育カリキュラムの構造を明らかにしようとしたものである。環境問題は、一国にとざされたものではなく、地球的課題としてどのように向き合うのかという「グローバル教育」の地平線にたって実践的可能性を模索しなければならない。しかしながら、小学校低学年の場合、冒頭からグローバルな空間認識のもとで実践を展開させていくことは難しい。ここで有効となり得るのが国際的な比較研究であり、台湾は日本と同じく低学年に「生活」があることから、「生活」教科書にあるプラスチックごみの削減を題材とした単元を取りあげ分析することで、比較カリキュラム論として国際的な参照軸から実践的可能性の展望を見出すことができる。

Mordanting effect of hot spring water in Yamaguchi for “Kusaki-zome” : focusing on color tones

温泉水には様々なイオンが含まれており、温泉地によって成分や含有量が異なっている。それらには当然金属イオンも存在しており、温泉地によってその金属イオンの種類や含有量が異なっている。したがって、この温泉水を草木染の媒染に役立つ可能性があり、温泉水の種類（温泉地）によって異なった色味を出せることが期待される。そこで本実験では、山口県内の10か所の温泉水を利用して草木染を行い、その色味の変化をみた。結果は期待していたほどの色味変化はなく、ほぼ草木の色素そのものに近い色であった。これは、他県に比して山口県は温泉地が多いが、その主成分はナトリウムやカルシウムで、それ以外の成分はごく微量であること、ナトリウムイオン、カルシウムイオンは今回使用した色素に対して、それほど色味変化を伴わないためと考えられる。

The shaping of the “high five” gesture in students with autism spectrum disorders attending special needs schools

特別支援学校中学部に在籍する自閉スペクトラム症のある生徒に対して、自発的なハイタッチ行動の形成とその効果を検証することを目的とした。特定の活動終了直後に目の前に五指を開いた手が差し出されることでハイタッチ行動が生じていた生徒に対し、①「イエイ」や「ヤッター」などの音声言語、②研究実施者が差し出す手の位置、③研究実施者が差し出す手のひらの形（「グー」か「パー」）の３つのプロンプト組み合わせて段階的に提示したところ、これらのプロンプトがなくても特定の課題終了後に自発的にハイタッチ行動を生起するようになり、それが別の場面にも般化した。自閉スペクトラム症の生徒に対してハイタッチ行動のような非言語コミュニケーション行動を形成するための手段について考察した。

Changing the way students reflect and the images they want to present in special-needs education junior high school art classes : using special sheets to reflect on experiences depending on level and teacher assessment

本研究では、特別支援学校に在籍する知的障害のある中学部生徒に対し、美術科の段階を基にした実態把握を行い、段階に応じた目標設定と指導内容を選定した上で「振り返りシート（生徒用）」を作成・活用した美術科授業実践を行った。授業の中で定期的に振り返りながら、表現及び鑑賞の活動に取り組むことで、表したいイメージがどのように変容したのか、記入文字数や発表場面での発語数と共に質的内容について分析した。「振り返りシート（教員用）」も作成・活用することで、教員の評価も授業改善や指導・支援に生かすことをめざした。その結果、実態の異なる生徒それぞれが「振り返りシート」に提示された問いを視点に、造形的な見方・考え方を働かせながら、表したいイメージを具体化させ、学びを深めていく姿を確認することができた。このことから、「振り返りシート」が断片的になりがちな知的障害のある生徒の思考まとめることに有効に機能したことが推測された。
