Recentaly, endoscopic reterografe cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) has been performed for diagnosis of the congentital choledochal dilatation and evaluation of the anomalous pancreaticobiliary junction. ERCP was performed on eight childre, ages 1 to 8 years, with congential choledochal dilatation from 1982 to 1987. Seven if the 8 cases occurred in female. The chief complaint was abdominal pain in 7 cases, and jaundice and appetite loss in 1 case each. ERCP was useful for diagnosis and decision of the type of anomalous pancreaticobiliary junction.
