Descriptions
Neurological records of patients admitted to the neuropsychiatry clinic of Yamaguchi University Hospital from 1980 through 1982 were reviewed in order to obtain information which would be useful for the medical practice of neurology clinic in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Total number of neurological patients was about 500 every year and about the half of them were the patients of epilepsy. Both the number and the variety of neurological patients were increased year by year. Compared with other reports of neurology clinics, our data reveals that the number of the patients of epilepsy and degenerative diseases are larger and that of neuropathy and myelopathy are smaller than that of other reports. The residence of about the half of out-patients are Ube City and that of the others are widely distributed all over Yamaguchi Prefecture.
