Regional lymph nodes of rats which were implanted Bionium alloy, Glassy carbon, single crystal of artificial Sapphire and Ceramic beads into the right mandibular bone were histologically investigated. At 1, 2 and 3 months after the implantation, the left and right submandibular nodes were weighed and examined by light microscopy. The order from the highest to lowest weigh-ratios between left and right nodes was as follows : 1) Glassy carbon, 2) single crystal of Sapphire, 3) Ceramic beads and 4) Bionium alloy. In sections, large pyroninophilic lymphocytes slightly increased in number around high endothelium venules in the Bionium alloy group at 1 month after the implantation but any other remarkable change was not obaerved in all groups. The relationship between the lymph nodeweight ratio and the histological change was discussed.
