This paper presents a three-dimensional analysis of free vibration of the long span truss bridges considering the effects of dead load and finite deformation. Applying the proposed method to Tenmon bridge (three span continuous truss bridge), its vibraton characteristics were analyzed and compared with those obtained by site observations. From these studies, it was found that dead load and finite deformation had little effect on the vibration characteristics. Therefore, in practice, analyzing the free vibraton, we can neglect the effects of them.
