古代日本文学は中国文化の影響を多く受けている。しかし事物への概念や表現方法が必ずしも中国の影響かどうかは判別しにくいものもある。事物や表現が同様だからと言って影響関係にあるとは一概に言えないからである。そこで本稿では具体的に「雪」の概念や描き方を例にして、その関係を考えてみる。「雪」が厳冬期の行路難渋や苦寒という意味では当然のことながら一致している。また影響関係は不明であるが、五穀豊穣の予祝的なものという認識は共通している。しかし『万葉集』では「遠い山に降るもの」という概念があり、神の存在する場所に降る神聖なものという認識がある一方で、中国では神仙的な彼岸と区分するという意味があって、ここが本質的に相違が見られる所である。本稿では宴席を中心とした「雪」については考察していない。このことについては別稿で論じる。

中国語においては、舌打ち音の研究はいくつか見られる。しかし、話し言葉を対象とした研究はまだ十分ではない。本稿では、中国語のインタビュー会話を対象とし、舌打ち音の統語的制約及び談話的機能について考察した。その結果、以下のことが明らかになった。ａ．舌打ち音は文頭、文中に現れているが、文末に現れていない。ｂ．舌打ち音は、聞き手に注意を促し、前に出たトピックの内容をリアルに話し始めるマーカーになっている。これらの点は、日本語出雲方言の感動詞類「け（ー）」と類似していることから、言語普遍的な性質であるかもしれないということが予測される。また、舌打ち音は、従来の日本語の感動詞類とは音声の面で大きく異なるが、これらの性質の共通性から、感動詞類の定義を再検討する必要があることが示唆される。

A syntactic analysis on ‘Repeating utterances’ between the speakers in natural Japanese conversation : focusing on case constituents

日本語の自然会話においては様々な反復現象が見られるが、中でもある話者の発話末尾文にある要素が次の話者の発話冒頭文に現れているような反復現象が観察される。本稿では、そのような会話における反復を「話者間反復」と呼び、話者間反復における「反復発話」の統語的な分析を行う。従来の反復現象に関する研究は、主に反復の機能を探究するものであった。しかし、なぜ話者は反復する要素を特定の箇所に置くのか、どのような箇所に置いて反復をするのかという問題について、未解明である。本稿では、統語的な観点から、反復発話の出現位置について分析する。その際、反復発話に格成分が関わる場合に焦点を置く。その結果、反復する要素は反復発話の文頭により近い位置を指向していることを明らかにした。また、話者間反復が起こる際に、話者間反復の関係にある要素の統語的な近接性の度合いが高いことが判明した。

On the Expression of Agree to Request “njanai”,“(p)pokunai and “kunai” Used by Young People in Yamaguchi Prefecture : Focusing on Usage in Context of “Discovery”

山口県若年層の用いる同意要求表現ンジャナイ・（ッ）ポクナイ・クナイについて、〈発見〉場面における用法の異同を明らかにした。クナイは話し手の方が聞き手より情報量を多く持っている場面で使用され、ンジャナイと（ッ）ポクナイは両者の持つ情報量が同等な場面で使用される。しかし、ンジャナイは発話場面にいる話し手と聞き手以外の周縁者との情報共有が可能な場面で用いられやすく、（ッ）ポクナイはそれができない場面で用いられやすいという違いがある。また、ンジャナイは話し手の判断の根拠が十分と言えない場面で、（ッ）ポクナイは十分と言える場面で用いられやすい。クナイは話し手だけが探索物を視認し、主観的な判断で強い確信を持って用いられる。

The Meaning of "Hitai ha Hareyaka"

森鴎外作の「高瀬舟」では、高瀬舟で送られる罪人喜助について、「その額は晴やかで目には微かなかがやきがある」という描写がなされている。本稿では、近代の「額は晴やか」の用例をもとに、ここで言う「額は晴やか」は、困る様子・憂鬱な様子が見られてもよさそうな状況において、困る様子・憂鬱な様子が見られないことを表すものではないかということを述べる。あわせて、「目には微かなかがやきがある」の意味についても触れ、庄兵衛の「喜助の顔が縦から見ても、横から見ても、いかにも楽しそうで……」という観察と、「その額は晴やかで目には微かなかがやきがある」という地の文の描写の間には懸隔があると考えるべきではないかということを指摘する。

Pupils’ perception of communication and changes in their discourse construction

本稿では子供のコミュニケーション活動を支援するうえで有効な言語学的考え方や理論を整理したうえで、子供がコミュニケーション場面における関係性の認識を深めることが主体的且つ円滑な談話構築に繋がる様子を明らかにしている。教師が作成した動画を用いて、二つのやり取りを比較させることで、子供の気づきを引き出し、自らの実践へ発展させてゆくとりくみについて考察した。指示された表現を使ってただ言うだけではなく、子供が基本的な表現の持つ働きを理解しそれを拡張させてメッセージとして用いていくことで、言語を人と人との間にあるものとして学んでいくことができる、そういった学びの場を作りたいと考える。
