Hepatic arterial chmotherapy for colorectal cancer metastasis to he liver

Hepatic arterial chemothrapy for patients with liver metastasis of colorectal cancer was performed on 10 patients and intrabenous chemotherapy was performed on 9 patients. Meansurvival of the hepatic artetial chemotherapy group (17. months) was significantoy longer than that of inrtavenous group (6.1 months). In order to study the eddect of hepatic arterial chemotherapy for liver metastases and othe metastases, blood concentration of adriamucin was measured. Twenty five percent of adriamycin was incorporated into the liver when the drug given into hepatic artery presses through the liver for the first time. The rest of adrinysin (75%) was incorporeted into various tissues of the body.
