The authors studied on a way to used the fixed cells for the determination of blood group from human bone. The fresh erythrocytes from A, B, and O blood group were fixed overnight with 1% glutaraldehyde at room temperature and the microtechnique was performed by a microtiter set Cook Engineering Co. The result was as follows. 1. Human ribs from the autopsy cases of A, B, AB, and O blood group respectively were crushed by hummer. The blood group was clearly determined from the bone of A, B, AB, and O blood group by this method. 2. The blood group was clearly determined from fingernail and zygomatic bone of highly decomposed corpses and skeleton by this method. Therefore, this method was useful in field of legal medicine.
