Unconfined compression and cyclic triaxial tests were performed on cement or lime treated soils which were consolidated and cured simultaneously. It was found from the tests that the unconfined compressive strength q_1, and the modulus of deformation of these soils increased a linearly with increasing the consolidation stress in the curing process, σ'_v. The cyclic shear strength, R_20 of these soils were significantly sffected by the value of σ'_v. There exists a unique correlation between q_u and R_20 of various treated soils.
