The electrohydrodynamic instability in liquid crystal is studied by Fourier analysis of the spatial pattern observed under porlarizing microscope The qualitative characteristics of the pattern is drawned out with this method. This method is applied to the dynamic phenomena : the growing process of the pattern after the external field is supplied. The ”distance” between the pattern in stationary state and the one in the growing process is defined with use of the Fourier component of the respective pattern. The results of the analysis is consistent to the information from the microscopical observation and the measurement of the time dependence of the current density.
