This study outlines the experience of the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) and the European Statistical Agency (EUROSTAT) in producing environmental protection expenditure accounts (EPEA) for Taiwan and EU. Taiwan's EPA began producing EPEA for Taiwan in the 2000-01 fiscal year guided by the SERIEE (Systeme Europeen de Rassemblement de l'Infor-mation Economique sur l'Environnement
