Suppression of thermal noise in non-Markovian random velocity field

We study the diffusion of Brownian particles in a Gaussian random velocity field with short memory. By extending the derivation of an effective Fokker–Planck equation for the Lanvegin equation with weakly colored noise to a random velocity-field problem, we find that the effect of thermal noise on particles is suppressed by the existence of memory. We also find that the renormalization effect for the relative diffusion of two particles is stronger than that for single-particle diffusion. The results are compared with those of molecular dynamics simulations.

 本研究では、小児期(幼児期、学童期、青年期)の生活習慣、遺伝要因と肥満との関連を調査し、肥満予防のための公衆衛生的アプローチを検討した。食物繊維摂取が学童期の子どもの肥満および血圧、血中脂質パラメーターに及ぼす影響を明らかにすること(調査1:10~11歳の横断研究)、FT0遺伝子多型が幼児期から青年期の体格変化に及ぼす影響を明らかにすること(調査2:3歳、10歳、13歳に渡る縦断研究)、さらに、学童期から青年期にかけて身体活動がFT0遺伝子多型と体格変化に及ぼす影響を明らかにすること(調査3:13歳、18歳に渡る縦断研究)、を本研究の目的とした。  調査1では、学童期の食物繊維摂取は肥満およびコレステロール高値のリスク低減に有効であることが示唆された。  調査2では、幼児期から学童期にかけてFT0遺伝子の影響が強く表れ、中学生の年代になるとこの影響は逆に減弱し、部活動等が始まるこの時期の身体活動の影響が関連している可能性があることが推測された。  調査3では、青年期で、身体活動量が多いほどBMIの増加を弱め、FT0遺伝子多型の影響を減弱させた。  本論文の構成は5章からなる。 第1章では、緒言として、研究の背景と本研究の目的を述べる。 第2章では、食物繊維摂取が学童期の子どもの肥満および血圧、血中脂質パラメーターに及ぼす影響を検討した。 第3章では、FT0遺伝子多型が幼児期から青年期の体格変化に及ぼす影響を検討した。 第4章では、身体活動がFT0遺伝子多型と体格変化に及ぼす影響について検討した。 第5章では、結言として、本研究のまとめと今後の研究の方向性、今後の展望を述べた。

With the deterioration of bridges as social infrastructure, appropriate maintenance and life extension are required. However, aging degradation of individual bridges is not the same. Since traffic volume and bridge environment are different for each bridge, the degree of deterioration of the bridge is also different. Therefore, it is necessary to identify and eliminate the cause of individual deterioration and to take appropriate measures. This paper focuses on weathering steel bridge that the formation of dense rust is greatly influenced by the environment. The purpose of this study is to clarify the effect of anticorrosion by the environmental improvement which covers the whole steel girder with the metal sandwich panel for weathering steel bridge. Since the space in the girder covered with the metal sandwich panel cannot be expected to have the effect of washing by rainwater or drying and wetting by the flow of wind, the adoption of the metal sandwich panel for weatherproof steel bridge has not been judged until now. In this thesis, the corrosion behavior of weathering steel and the effectiveness of corrosion protection are shown by exposure test, and the corrosion protection effect of environmental improvement by metal sandwich panel is clarified. In addition, this study examines the economical advantages by the metal sandwich panel installation by calculating the life cycle cost. This paper consists of six chapters. Chapter 1 describes the background and purpose of this research. Chapter 2 summarizes previous studies on corrosion protection methods used in steel bridges. In Chapter 3, exposure tests were conducted inside and outside the metal sandwich panel and the following finding were obtained. 1) In the girder covered with the metal sandwich panel, fluctuation range of temperature and humidity is small throughout the year, and it does not follow the sudden weather change of outside of the panel. Since the difference between the temperature and dew point in the panel is large, the wet time in the panel is suppressed to 1/5 or less of the wet time of outside the panel. 2) At the structure which has thin floor slab and low height girder, the temperature rise in the panel may be unavoidable depending on season. However, since the humidity in the panel is low and the wet time is also greatly reduced, the anticorrosive effect can be expected in the steel bridge including the weathering steel bridge. 3) Amount of air born salt into the panel after the metal sandwich panel installation was not detected. In Chapter 4, a small test specimen was placed in the inside space of the steel girder, and the transition of corrosion, anticorrosion effect by environmental improvement and inner surface painting were examined. 1) The untreated steel and the uncoated steel in the ingrown rust region evaluated by the ion permeation resistance method are kept almost same condition after five years. 2) It is also conceivable that the initial salinity of the steel material subjected to the substrate adjustment by blasting exists even after the substrate adjustment, and that the adhering salinity penetrates into the inside of the steel plate at the time of rust formation. However, the increase rate of rust thickness due to aging is slow, and a method of installing a metal sandwich panel after blasting is also effective. 3) Although the effect of environmental isolation from outside the girder was confirmed, it became clear that it was difficult to completely suppress the progress of rust. Chapter 5 examined the economic effects of installing metal sandwich panels on new girders from the beginning and installing them on overbridges 50 years after the star of service. 1) If repainting is required even 1 time during the during the design service period of 100 years, the anticorrosion method by environmental improvement of the metal sandwich panel is economically superior. 2) Accumulating the cost of close visual inspection (for 50 years) of the overbridge that has been in service for 50 years increases the maintenance cost. Chapter 6 summarizes this research and describes future issues.

Wireless power transfer (WPT) systems have attracted considerable attention in relation to providing a reliable and convenient power supply. Among the challenges in this area are maintaining the performance of the WPT system with the presence of a human body and minimizing the induced physical quantities in the human body. This study proposes a magnetic resonant coupling WPT (MRC-WPT) system that utilizes a resonator with a grounded loop to mitigate its interaction with a human body and achieve a high-efficiency power transfer at a short range. Our proposed system is based on a grounded loop to reduce the leakage of the electric field, resulting in less interaction with the human body. As a result, a transmission efficiency higher than 70% is achieved at a transmission distance of approximately 25 cm. Under the maximum-efficiency conditions of the WPT system, the use of a resonator with a grounded loop reduces the induced electric field, the peak spatial-average specific absorption rate (psSAR), and the whole-body averaged SAR by 43.6%, 69.7%, and 65.6%, respectively. The maximum permissible input power values for the proposed WPT systems are 40 and 33.5 kW, as prescribed in the International Commission of Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) guidelines to comply with the limits for local and whole-body average SAR.

The power transmission effi ciency of a resonatorcoupled wireless power transfer (RC-WPT) system with some angular misalignments is examined in this paper. In addition to conventional single-spiral resonators, the dual-spiral resonators which we have proposed are used in the RC-WPT system. It was confi rmed that the power transmission effi ciency of the RC-WPT system decreased with the increment of angular misalignments. However, it was shown that the decayed power transmission efficiency due to the angular misalignments could be recovered by adding the appropriate axial displac ements between transmitting (Tx) and receiving (Rx) units.

In presented work dye assemblies with J-type intermolecular coupling, which are well recognized not only for their exciton transport but also for hole and electron transport properties were investigated. The use of materials consisting of J-type dye assemblies can be significantly enhanced if their photonic properties can be controlled by some external stimuli. For these reasons the switching abilities between J-type aggregated and non-aggregated states of a cationic cyanine dye, 1,1′-diethyl-2,2′-cyanine (pseudoisocyanine, PIC) intercalated in the interlayer space of synthetic saponite (Sap) were compared. The switching was performed by adding and removing of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) from the interlayer space. The PIC/Sap hybrid film prepared at 70% CEC loading level has shown excellent stability within 20 cycles of photophysical response after adding and removing of DMSO from the interlayer space, indicating that presented experimental approach can be useful in the future development of artificial light harvesting or semiconductor systems with controllable properties.

The interlayer space of clays is an interesting microenvironment to control the properties of included organic materials. In this study, chromic hybrid films consisting of synthetic saponite (SSA) and fluorescent organic molecules with planar p-conjugated systems were fabricated. The hybrid films exhibited reversible fluorescence color switching induced by swelling and drying, which caused the gallery height of SSA to change. Ultraviolet–visible absorption, steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence measurements of the hybrid films strongly suggested that the organic molecules formed an excimer in the swollen interlayer space of SSA, while they were a monomer in the dried interlayer space. The different emission wavelengths of the excimer and monomer resulted in the fluorescence color switching of the hybrid films. The reversibility of the color switching was maintained for at least 50 cycles with no change of fluorescence maxima. These chromic hybrid films represent a novel approach to obtain color switching.

Ferroelectrics have found a wide range of applications including memory elements, capacitors, and sensors. Molecular f erroelectric crystals have recently attracted growing interest as viable alternatives for conventional ceramic ferroelectrics, especially due to their non toxicity and solution processability. Herein, we show that a class of molecular compounds known as plastic crystals can exhibit ferroelectricity, provided that the constituent molecules are judiciously chosen from polar ionic molecules. The intrinsic features of plastic crystals, e.g. the rotational mot ion of molecules and phase transitions with lattice symmetry changes, provide the crystals with unique ferroelectric properties relative to conventional molecular crystals , i.e. the possibility to flexibly alter the direction of the polarization axis of a grown crystal by applying an electric field. Owing to t he tunability of the crystal orientation together with mechanical deformability, this novel type of molecular crystals represents an attractive functional material, which will undoubtedly find diverse applications.

Near-infrared two-photon absorption of the phosphorescent Ir(III) complex (2,4-pentanedionato-κO2,κO4)bis[2-(6-phenanthridinyl-κN)benzo[b]thien-3-yl-κC]iridium (BTPHSA) was characterized. It exhibited a 800–1200 nm two-photon absorption band, and thus could be electronically excited by 1030-nm femtosecond Ti:sapphire and Yb-doped fiber lasers. By using BTPHSA, oxygen concentrations in human embryonic kidney 293 (HEK293) cells were imaged. These results demonstrate two-photon oxygen sensing of live tissues via easily operable excitation sources.

We measured the three-photon absorption spectra of two europium acetylacetonate-type complexes. The three-photon absorption peak wavelengths of tris(hexafluoroacetylacetonato)europium(III) (Eu(hfa)) and tris(2-naphthoyltrifluoroacetonato)europium(III) (Eu(ntfa)) were 925 and 1025 nm, respectively. The peak values of the 3PA cross-sections of Eu(hfa) and Eu(ntfa) were 1.9 and 13.9 GM (1 GM = 10−82 cm6 s2), respectively. Using Eu(ntfa) as a probe, a three-photon microscope image of a living cell was obtained using a 1030 nm operating femto-second fiber laser as the light-source. Thus, Eu(ntfa) is a fiber laser excitable luminescent probe useful for three-photon microscopy.

We have found that X-ray diffraction peaks of clay-organic hybrid films were narrowed after swelling followed by removing of solvent. We fabricated hybrid films consisting of natural montmorillonite (Mont), synthetic saponite (SSA) or synthetic stevensite (SST) and a cationic organic molecule. Full width at half maximum (FWHM) of 001 reflection of as-prepared Mont hybrid was 1.58 2θ degree whereas that after swelling and solvent removing procedure was 0.84 2θ degree. This decreasing of FWHM indicated that the improvement of packing order of clay particles in clay-organic hybrid was occurred during swelling and solvent removing procedure. Similar decreasing of FWHM was also found in hybrids consisting of SSA or SST. Improvement of packing order of hybrid was found to accompany suppression of light scattering of hybrid at the same time.

大学での教育は正課外活動も含めて学士力の育成や人格形成(社会性の醸成)を行っていくべきである。ただ, どのような正課外活動であっても実行するには必ずお金がかかると考えたほうよく, 学生は様々な機関の活動資金支援制度に申請して助成を受けることもあるだろう。本稿はそうした活動資金支援の申請書の作成ポイントについて, 申請書の骨子の作成, ポンチ絵の紹介と必要性および作成ポイント, 必要経費欄のまとめ方, 構成員状況提示の意味や意義, 申請書として作成するときや提出に関する注意事項, というまとめ方でエッセイ的に記したものである。

マーチン・トロウ氏による「高等教育システムの段階」, いわゆるトロウモデルにおいて日本の高等教育機関は2004年以降「ユニバーサル・アクセス型」に移行している。結果, 文部科学省も示すように高等教育機関において正課外活動の充実が必要不可欠なものとなってきた。正課外活動を実施していく上で資金は必ず必要であり, それを得るための申請を行う機会も学生にとって少なくない。本稿は, 着想のきっかけ, 着想の価値や位置づけ, そしてプロジェクトのおもしろさについて, エッセイ的に記したものである。

この度, 第51回中国四国大学保健管理研究集会を, 同研究集会当番校として, 本学で8年振りに開催した。昨年の第50回研究集会に続きコロナ禍での開催となり, 医学部附属病院オーディトリアムを配信会場としてのハイブリッド開催という形式で行った。多くの方々の参加・協力を得て, 無事開催することができたので報告する。

山口大学生の日常生活における二酸化炭素排出量を共通教育の「環境と人間」の授業課題からアンケート調査により集めた。電気, ガス, 水道, 燃料, 廃棄物等のエネルギー消費量を基に換算係数を用いて二酸化炭素排出量を算出した結果, 平均値は1.9t-CO2/(年・人)であった。生活に伴う二酸化炭素排出量の電気及びガス項目からの合計は80%以上を占めた。エネルギー総量について学生生活の10 年間の差, 学部による差, 男女の差は, 多少見られたがエネルギー項目に特徴が見られた。1 人暮と家族暮では, 家族暮らしの方がエネルギーを多く消費する事が判明した。また, 家族暮では燃料として灯油, ガソリンの割合が大きく山口大学の立地条件から移動手段として車が多用されている事が考えられる。我が国の家庭部門の二酸化炭素排出量は1.32t-CO2/(年・人)であり(2020年度), 本調査結果の1.86t-CO2/(年・人)は約40%大きいが, 車を使った移動による燃料分を考慮すると妥当であることが確認できた。また電力の換算係数値が10年で約10%の減少に伴い, 二酸化炭素排出量が減少することが確認できた。本調査から山口大学生の生活の二酸化炭素排出量の実態が確認できた。

本稿は, 英語で研究活動を行う理系大学院留学生を対象とした「生活日本語」の授業の実践にもとづき, 入門レベルにおいて, タスクを取り入れ, 課題遂行を重視した授業テザインを検討するものである。実践にあたっては, 日本語教育における動向や関連する教育実践を概観し, 理系大学院留学生の日本語教育に対するニーズや, 日本語学習を継続する際の問題点を整理した。本実践の結果, (1)課題遂行を重視する授業デザインになじめない学習者がいた, (2)学習者が, タスクを導入した授業についてどのように捉えていたか, タスクの達成度をどのように考えていたかを明らかにするために, 学習者による評価を実施する必要がある, (3)日本語プログラム全体における本授業の位置づけや, 他のコースとの接続を検討する必要がある, といった課題が明らかになった。

本研究は新型コロナウイルス影響下の2020年及び2021年に本学F学部に入学した学生163名を対象に, 入学当初である4~7月の歩数を調査した。歩数は各自が所有するスマートフォンに保存されている数値とした。本学の2020年4~7月の授業形態はオンライン授業, 2021年4~7月は対面授業が主であった。調査の結果, 2020年入学生の歩数(2811±1418歩)は2021年入学生(4346±1305歩)より有意に少なかった。また両年共に男性の方が女性より歩数が多く, 月別では4月の歩数が多かった。いずれの年も大学生の至適活動量を大きく下回っていた。以上から新型コロナウイルスによる活動自粛及び授業形態は新入生の歩数に影響を与えていた。

障害等のある学生へ情報保障の方法として音声認識技術の活用が進んでいるが, より有効に活用するためには認識率の担保や運用方法の工夫が必要となる。本稿では, 音声認識技術と補聴システムとを組み合わせた情報保障の質の向上のために, 端末や機器の使用方法を工夫する余地がどの程度あり得るのかについて, 実証実験結果をもとに分析する。実証実験からは, 同じ動画教材でも音量の調節や, 機材の組み合わせにより認識率に差異があることが明らかとなった。一方で, 動画教材の音源の鮮明度等によっては, 技術や機器の使用方法による認識率に大きな開きは見られなかった。このことから, 情報保障機材等の工夫がある程度有効であるものの, 発話や教材作成時の雑音への配慮が必要であると言える。

大学時代にジェネリックスキルを計測した学生の追跡調査によると, 社会人の仕事満足には, 職場からの評価・キャリア自律・自主的な学びが影響している。そこには大学時代の行動持続力・自信創出力との関連が見られる。別の調査では, 地元志向の学生は行動持続力のスコアが有意に低いとの結果が得られた。社会人の仕事満足の観点から, とりわけ地元志向の学生に対して, 行動持続力をはじめとした対自己基礎力を高めるキャリア教育の強化が求められる。
