This study explores the innovative applications of depth cameras combined with Graph Convolutional Networks (GCN) for action recognition in two critical domains: elderly care and smart education. We harness the capabilities of depth cameras to capture spatial and temporal features, alongside our robust GCN algorithm, to develop models capable of accurately recognizing and classifying human actions. In elderly care, our model is particularly focused on detecting and analyzing falls, which are crucial for enhancing care safety and supporting the independence of elderly individuals. Experimental results demonstrate that our depth camera-based action recognition model achieved an impressive average accuracy of 96.3% in fall detection within real-world scenarios, while also maintaining low rates of false positives and false negatives. In the realm of smart education, our depth camera-based model is specifically designed to recognize students’ hand-raising actions in real-time, which is crucial for comprehensively assessing student engagement in the class, and accordingly adjusting teaching strategies. Experimental results show that our model achieves an average accuracy of 89.7% in realworld scenarios, while maintaining low rates of false positives and false negatives. Overall, this study showcases the powerful potential of integrating depth cameras with GCNs for action recognition, significantly enhancing both the safety and efficiency of elderly care, as well as the interactivity and educational quality of smart education.

　中等日本語教育は中国の外国語教育における重要な要素の1つである。山東省の中等日本語教育は歴史が長く、外国語学校や高校の日本語課程の開設が注目されてきた。また、2015年以来、高得点獲得のため大学入試の外国語に日本語を選択する学生が急増したことをきっかけとして、山東省の中等日本語教育は急速な発展を遂げてきた。しかし、2022年から2024年にかけて「双減政策」や大学入試の「新題型」などが実施され、その発展は勢いを失っている。岐路に立つ山東省の中等日本語教育の現状評価と発展趨勢を明らかにするため、本研究は教育主体である教員と生徒ではなく、各学校で課程の開設と管理に重要な役割を果たす13校の管理職を対象に、アンケート調査を行った。 　結果を通して、まず、山東省13校で実施されている中等日本語教育は外国語特色校・重点校の建設や大学入試での高得点などといった教育成果をあげ、高く評価されていることが分かった。次に、現在直面している困難として、特に教育当局の支援不足、教員数の不足と質的問題が挙げられ、これらは中等日本語教育の発展の制約要因と考えられている。最後に、ほとんどの管理職は国家情勢・教育政策を楽観的に把握し、その中の数名は中学校からの日本語教育を要求するとともに、各学校の日本語教育の持続的な発展のために、中長期計画を立て、留学などの進路を切り開こうとする姿勢を持つことが分かった。

　本稿では，「相手の言語」へのコードスイッチングが持ち得る機能について，料理場面における交換留学生同士の言語使用をもとに検討した。コードスイッチングとは，複数言語の話者が一つの発話の中で二つ以上の言語を使用することを指す。コードスイッチングが持つ機能に関して，もっとも頻繁に指摘されているのは，話者の言語能力の不足を補うということである。そのため，（より高い能力を持つと目される）自身の母語や，その場の共通言語へのコードスイッチングが焦点化される。しかし本稿では，先行研究におけるこのような焦点化は，それらの研究の多くが（大平，2000; 服部，2001; Hamdan，2023など），コミュニケーションにおける言語比重が非常に高い場面（教室など）を集中的に検討してきた結果であると考える。なぜなら，本稿で分析対象とした，豊富で多様な（言語・言語外の）資源が存在する環境では，自身の母語やその場の共通言語を用いて表現することができる際にも，わざわざ「相手の言語」にコードスイッチングするという現象が見られたからである。 　本稿の目的は，コミュニケーションにおける言語比重が比較的低い場面において，「相手の言語」へのコードスイッチングが，なぜ，どのような状況で，どのようなやり取りの中で行われるのかを明らかにすることである。その分析とインタビューを通して，「相手の言語」へのコードスイッチングが持つ機能を検討する。 　分析においては，交換留学生がグループで料理する場面及び食事の記録から，「相手の言語」使用場面をすべて抽出し，発話だけでなく，話者の視線，行動，場の状況等を踏まえつつ，伝えたい内容や受け取られた内容などを分析した。 　その結果，「相手の言語」へのコードスイッチングが持つ機能として，7点を挙げることができた。そのうち6点は，先行研究で既に指摘されている点と重なりを持つが，残る1点は，管見の限り本稿による新たな発見であると言える。

Language and society are closely intertwined and can influence each other. Indonesia is a unitary country with a diverse culture and local languages. Despite this linguistic diversity, Indonesian has served as a unifying language. This article discusses the current attitudes of Javanese people towards the Javanese language within the context of societal changes. The research involved questionnaires, interviews, and recordings of several Javanese conversations. The study findings indicate that while most participants believe they uphold a solid preservation of the Javanese people’s identity, signs are pointing to the potential erosion of the Javanese people’s identity, particularly in the quality of language usage among the participants. The preservation of Javanese people’s identity is closely tied to the Javanese language skills and attitudes, emphasizing the need to take action to protect it. The findings of this research can inform policies related to language education, cultural identity, and the development of language preservation and promotion strategies.

　『うつほ物語』の女主人公であるあて宮の人物造形は、従来、『竹取物語』のかぐや姫に重ねられる傾向にあった。それゆえ、東宮への入内によってもたらされた彼女の変貌についても、「天人（かぐや姫）」から「東宮妃（未来の母后）」への変貌として捉えられている。あるいはまた、「人形」（非－人間）から「人間」へという解釈も提示されている。しかし、従来指摘されているあて宮の変貌は政治的な論理におけるものであり、すなわち、彼女が父である正頼の構想する政治戦略を実践していくものとしてある。論者は、これは彼女が真の意味で人間的な変貌を遂げたとは言えないと考えている。 　本稿では、あて宮の人間化してゆく契機を、「内侍のかみ」巻の言語状況中に見出せることを論じる。具体的には、「高麗」という表現が切り拓く異国（言説上の異世界）において、あて宮が、東宮妃という社会的な身分秩序から解放されること。その際、彼女が一人の女性として仲忠と恋歌を交わし、精神的な恋愛ゲームを楽しむこと。その後、あて宮に恋愛感情が芽生えることで、徐々に夫である東宮に対し、男性としての不満を感じ始め、より人間的な存在として成長していくこと、などについて論じる。
