The Syowa-Kantaku was made success in 1925 by the Yamaguti Prefecture. Lt lies in the low-lying district of Natazima,along by the Fusino-gawa river near the railway station of Ogori, and is one of the widest rice crop fields managed on a large scale in Yamaguti Prefecture. The paddy area managed by the farmers of this settlement is four times as the average in other villages. Almost all area is brought under cultivation,excepting the glassland lying inside the levees of the Fusino-gawa river and the Nannyaku-gawa river. The settlement is entirely rural
