0.2cc. Of 10000 iu ovahormone benzoat was injected in the albumen of 72 hour-old hatching egg of the bastard fowl (Plymouth Rock ♀× Rhode Island Red ♂）, and then after 360 hours the gonad of the same egg was observed. The lefthand testis was nuch flattened like ovary, and the righthand one was very small and degenerated like the righthand degenerated gonad of the normal hen. The Mullerian ducts were remarkably hypertrophied. The spermogonia were scarcely found in the tubuli reminiferi.（Fig 1.2.3）
