「学校社会学」の観点から，学校が組織化する教育活動を分析する枠組を設定するとのねらいのもとで，まず教育活動それ自体の枠を提示することが本稿の課題である。最近，地域社会の在り方をめぐって，人間の生活分析とそれの未来像の想定に基づく「コミュニティ論」が盛んである。このコミュニティ概念に準拠して，「学校コミュニティ」概念を構築し，そこから５つの教育活動を抽出する。
