Histological examinations in rabbits treated with streptomycin from 100 mgs per kilo daily to 400 mgs per kilo daily are demonstrated. In all animals which vestibular function is abolished or dimished, were found degeneration of the nerve cells, in the central vestibular and cochlear nuclei, corresponding with clinical effect on the animals.
