Descriptions
1. The authors found that the equation E-D_1-D_2 (E: consumpting water, D_1: the quantity of water entering into the farm, D_2: the quantity of water flowing out from the farm) was proper to calculater the consumpting water in the Gobuiku area from the condition of the lay of the land, the nature of the soil, and hydrography. 2. The authors measured the discharge for surface soil pudding and planting terms (from 15 th, June to 10 th, July), calculated the consumpting water in the farm by using of these data, and reformed these calculated results to mean consumpting water per day taking into consideration each farmer's water control. 3. The authors obtained that the mean consumpting water was 116,000m^3/ day by computor procedure for surface soil pudding term. Surplus water was 71,000m^3/ day because water concesion of the Gobuiku land improvement ward was 187,000m^3/ day. Therefore, quantity of water (71,000m^3/ day) was presumed to be surplus water caused by sprawl. (Received June 29, 1973)
