Study on the Intention of Farm Management in Wakamatu City, Hukuoka Prefecture

1. This field study is a result of an investigation in Wakamatu City where is observed as a typical region of the suburban type of the farming. And especially the main object of the study was to make sure the opinion of the farmers in their farm management. 2. The results gained in this study are outlined as follows. The lacks of labour and capital in the farming in this district are the most important factors which check the development of the farm return at the recent times. With regard to the improvement of cultivating technique which is neccessary to decrease labour, it is observed that motorization of agriculural machinery is recently being popularized, but in spite of such development in cultivating technique the farmers feel a kind of uneasiness about the farming in future. 3. It may be imperatively recognized that, in order to raise the farming level and to increase the return, the improvements in the techniques are inseparably related to multiple policies intended for the independence of farming economy and their proper guidances.
