Effrects of the Homogeneous or Heterogeneous Brain and another Tissue Extracts on the Infection Titer of Japanese B Encephalitis Virus

Using the Japanese B Encephalitis Virus passaged through mouse brain, the infection titer of mouse inoculated in intracerebrally or intraperitoneally with the brain or another tissue extracts obtained from mouse itself or various animals, was mcasured with LD_<50> of mouse according to the Reed and Munch method. There after the effect on infection titer was examined. Several results of the experiments were shown as follows: 1. When the normal mouse brain was used, the effect on infection titer was fairly significant, but in the cases using the another normal tissues it was extremely weak and not noticeable. 2. When the brain of rabbit, guinea pig, dog and goat was used, remarkable effects were not recognized. ...
