鶏の伝達性貧血(伝染性貧血)
Ishiguro Hideo
Descriptions
While carrying out of a number of post-mortem examinations on fowls submitted to the author for investigation, a hen was encountered which appeared at first sight to have been suffering from anemia, its comb being definitely yellow. The red blood count was 1,800,000 and the white blood count was 92,000.There were many polychrome erythrocytes, and polychrome and basophile erythroblasts in the circulating blood. The liver was considerably enlarged and pale. The spleen also was much larger than normal. The appearance ot the spleen and the liver was suggestive of leucemia, which was supported by the presence of abnormal forms of blood elements insmears made from these organs. The hearts of eight normal baby chicks were inoculated with citrated blood from the original fowl. Some of the inoculated birds developed anemia to terminate fatally. These birds when first seen aU presented the same appearance. The comb and skin were definitely pale yellow, these being more marked in the comb. They bled readily when the wing vein was punctured and the blood had a pale watery appearance. Total blood counts showed a very considerable reduction in the number of cells、 and the outstanding feature presented by stained blood smears was the very large number of immature red cells.・・・
