Recently, enterococcal strains were frequently isolated from the natural world, such as fishes, insects and plants. Little informations, however, concerned with the biological properties of the isolates, were obtained at present. Therefore, as one of the basic studies, the present work was undertaken to investigate the certain biological properties of strains mainly isolated from the polikilothermal animals. The following results were obtained. 1). In the results of carbohydrates split, there were only a few strains coincided with the statements in the past. ....
