For the purpose of investigating the physiological change of crown-gall, the respiratory mechanism of the pathogenic bacterium of crown-gall, A grobacterium tumefaeiens (S_<MITH> et T_<OWNS>.) C_<ONN>, was measured by means of the W_<ARBURG>'S manometric technique. The following results were obtained: 1. Respiratory rate of the bacterial suspension to which the ultrasonic waves were applied was decreased in proportion to the duration of treating time. And the treated bacteria form their colonies in two or three days after inoculation on Agar plates. ....
