This paper deals with the description of 25 species of serranid fishes of Okinawa Islands which are continued from ”Serranid fishes of the Okinawa Islands I and Il”. These fishes were collected at the fish market in Naha and Itoman, 10 to 17 May, 1973 and 20 to 25 April, 1974 by the author. Furthermore, by the courtesy of Mr. .Soko GUSHIKEN and Mr. Takeshi YAMAKAWA a number of species of the fishes obtained off Okinawa, Amami and Tokara Islands came under his examination. Among them the following three species seem to be new to the fauna of Japan.
