Epidemiologic Study on Deaths from Lung Cancer in Yamaguchi Prefecture Part. I For the Years 1972-1976

A statistical observation of lung cancer mortality, gastric cancer mortality and liver cancer mortality in cities in Yamaguchi Prefecture for the years 1972-1976 was made.Patients who died from lung cancer were chosen as cases, and controls were matched to the cases by age and sex in a one-to-one manner. The result was as follows. (1) Lung Caner mortality in Onoda City and Shimonoseki City was significantly higher than that in other cities in Yamaguchi Prefecture (2) Gastruc cancer mortality and liver cancer mortality did not differ with cities in Yamaguchi Prefecture (3) Death of lung cancer had nothing to do with air pollution so far…
