本研究では，決定木分析を用いて，山口市を訪問した観光客の再訪意向について，観光客の年齢，性別，自家用車利用の有無，観光客居住地からの時間距離を変数としたカテゴリー分類を試みた。その結果，観光客の山口市への再訪意向は，居住地域からの距離，年齢，自家用車利用の有無によって分割された5つのカテゴリーで異なることがわかった。観光客の山口市再訪を増やすためには，カテゴリーに対応した観光客の視点に基づいた観光政策が必要であり，決定木分析はアンケート調査に基づいて有効なカテゴリーを析出する手法として観光分野においても応用が可能である。

In this study, we analyzed the categorization of tourist arrivals in Yamaguchi City using the decision tree analysis. We constructed a decision tree based on following factors: age, gender, means of transportation, travel time. As a result, we found that the visitor's intention to revisit to Yamaguchi City is different among the five categories divided by the distance from living place, age, whether or not to use a car. In order to increase the revisit rate of tourist arrivals in Yamaguchi City, tourism policy need to correspond to each category based on the viewpoint of various intention to revisit. Decision tree analysis is effective approach to find categories in tourism area based on a questionnaire survey.
