        In this paper, the influence of the stiffness of the concrete slab upon the characteristics of the horizontal and rotational free vibration of truss bridges were cleared by the three-dimensional analysis. From the results of the above-mentioned analysis, following findings have been made. (1) The characteristics of the horizontal and rotational free vibration of the short span truss bridges are affected remarkably by the stiffness of the concrete slab. (2) The stiffness of the concrete slab have slightly influence upon the characteristics of them of the long span truss bridges. Therefore, we must consider them on the analysis.
