An open-air vertical thin flat plate with uniform heat generation was cooled by the free convection heat transfer to air and by the radiation heat transfer to the enclosing walls. The overall radiation interchange factor was calculated from the heat generation rate and the convective heat flux. The convective heat flux on the surface was determined by the following two different methods
