The weight mixing rate of PbS and CdSe in PbS-CdSe mixed vapour deposit layers has been varied. The spectral response of each photovoltaic layer is obtained experimentally. As the weight mixing rate of PbS is increased, the sensitivity in a near infrared region is improved. By oblique evaporation, photoelectromotiveforce appears even when the evaporation substrate used is a plane glass plate.
