In 1973, the author published the treatise ”Serranid fishes of the Okinawa Islands (I)” describing 10 serranid fishes of the islands. On 2oth April, 1974 he again visited Okinawa for research on the serranid fishes and collected many species during his stay there between 2oth and 25th April. Among these collectins the following 10 species are here described. Saloptia powelli Smith Gracila albomarginata (Fowler et Bean) Gracila okinawae n. sp. Cromileptes altivelis (Cuvier et Valenciennes) Anyperodon leucogrammicus (Cuvier et Valenciennes) Aethaloperca rogaa (Forskal) Cephalopholis pachycentron (Cuvier et Valenciennes) Cephalopholis sexmaculatus (Ruppell) Epinephelus hoedtii (Bleeker) Epinephelus rhyncholepis (Bleeker) The author wishes to express his sincere gratitude to Mr. Soko Gushiken for his kind help in collecting the specimen. Heartfelt thanks are also due to Dr. Shiro Shinohara, Professor of Ryukyu University and Mr. Takeshi Shimizu, postgraduate student of Hokkaido University, who helped him in various ways.
