At the coastal areas of the Suo-nada and the Hibiki-nada in the western end of the Honshu Island, dilluvial deposits are distributed extensively and coastal terraces are developed. In the Ube district of the coastal area of the Suo-nada, the stratigraphical succession of the dilluvial deposits and the terraces are as follows.
