scheelite powellite CaWO4 - CaMoO4 series XRD variation of cell parameters
CaWO_4 (scheelite) and CaMoO_4 (powellite) series minerals have a continuous solid solution. The solid solution were synthesized by dry method at 850℃.The synthetic minerals in this series are aggregate of polyhedral crystals. X-ray powder diffraction data(Table 1) data for synthetic scheelite and powellite are examined by Guinier method and unit cell parameters (Table 2) obtained by a least squares calculation. These values (Figure 2) increased linearly with increasing Mo contents.
