We consider negative transitivity of semitransitive relations and Ferrers relations using Boolean matrices with zeros and ones. From generalized properties of negatively transitive relations we obtain some elementary properties of semitransitive relations and Ferrers relations which become negatively transitive or transitive under certain conditions. Moreover, as special cases connectedness, antisymmetry, reflexivity, and irreflexivity of some types of relations are examined shortly.
