Survey of Diabetics on Questionnaire in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan Comparative Studies of the Diabetic Control between 1971 and 1976

On questionnaire, survey of diabetics consulted with doctors in Yamaguchi prefecture was performed in 1971 and 1976. Numbers of diabetics in 1976 was more abundant than those in 1971. The incidence of diabetics in 1971 was 0.38% (2,727 cases) for male and 0.24% (1,892 cases) for famele in general population and, in 1976, it was 0.52% (3,852 cases) for male and 0.36% (2,959 cases) for female. On the same hospitals in 1971 and 1976, an increase of 81% compared with the diabetics in 1971 was noted in 1976. The patient was controlled in good condition in the following manner
