The effect of osmotic pressure with concentration series of saline on leptospira cells was examined in course of time under dark field light microscopy and the fine structures of the cells were observed under electron microscopy. The regenerative ability and fine structures of spherical body formed in hyperstomac condition were also examined. The observations obtained at the present time and discussions are as follows : 1) The motily of Leptospira was observed to be diminished and lost under the following conditions of NaCl concentration
