大学数員にとって出席管理は授業を行う上での一つの基本的かつ煩雑な作業である。従来の出席管理の方法として点呼式チェックと呼ばれるものがある。少人数の授業の場合、それは学生の名前と顔を覚える意味でも有効である。しかし、100人や200人を越すような授業の場合は、名前を呼ぶだけで授業の時間が取られてしまい、点呼式チェックは不向きと言わざるを得ない。記述式出席チェックという方法もよく使われるが、しかしそれは「代筆」の出席を防ぐことができず、また事後の事務処理も相当手間がかかる。そこで、「情報処理概論」のような講義授業における出席の取り方について、省時間、省労力、かつ低コストを心掛け、独自の方法を考案した。本稿において、そのシステムを紹介する。
