Characteristic of the land use change and the inundation damage in the Ouchi area of Yamaguchi city that occurred by a heavy rain fall in July, 2009

山口市大内地区において 2009年7月の豪雨により発生した浸水被害の特徴と土地利用の変遷について解析を行った。本地区は条里型地割が行われている水田地帯で あったが、1898年から約100年の旧版地図・空中写真の解析から、終戦後の1950年頃から水田の転用による宅地や商業地の開発が進んでいた。2009年豪雨による浸水被害は地区全体で450戸に上り、問田川両岸や旧国道262号に挟まれた標高の低い平地で顕著あった。開発にともなう水田の減少は、大内地区における雨水貯留機能を低下させており、本豪雨の浸水被害を大きくした要因の一つとして考えられた。
